What is IEPNest?
IEPNest is a private workspace that helps parents and legal guardians organize everything involved in a child's special-education journey, including IEP documents, meeting notes and recordings, service tracking, benefits, contacts, and expenses, all in one secure place.
Who is IEPNest for?
Parents and legal guardians of children who have, or are being evaluated for, an IEP or other special-education support. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
Is my child's information private?
Yes. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. Sensitive information is encrypted, and your documents and meeting recordings are stored in your own Google Drive rather than on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Where are my documents stored?
Your uploaded documents and meeting recordings are stored in your own Google Drive. IEPNest uses Google's "drive.file" access, which means the app can only see files it creates or that you explicitly open with it, never the rest of your Drive.
Why does IEPNest ask for Google Drive access?
So your files stay in your own Google account, under your control. We request the narrowest possible access (drive.file) and nothing more.
Can I record IEP meetings?
IEPNest includes a meeting recording and transcription feature. Recording laws vary by state and district, and you are responsible for obtaining any consent required where you live before recording. The transcript and AI summary are encrypted.
Does IEPNest give legal advice?
No. IEPNest helps you stay organized and informed, but it is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. For legal questions about your child's rights, consult a qualified professional.
Is the AI assistant using my data to train AI models?
No. Your content is used to give you answers and summaries within your account. It is not used to train third-party AI models.
How much does IEPNest cost?
IEPNest is free to use during our beta. We may introduce paid plans in the future, and we will let you know before any charges apply.
Can I delete my data or my account?
Yes. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time. Contact us at privacy@iepnest.com.
